The Institute for Sustainable Authority™

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website, programs, events, assessments, publications, materials, content, and services provided by the Institute for Sustainable Authority™ (“the Institute,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

The Institute for Sustainable Authority™ is a leadership research and model development organization dedicated to advancing sustainable authority in modern leadership environments. The Institute develops conceptual frameworks, leadership assessments, and professional development methodologies designed to examine how performance culture shapes leadership identity, authority stability, and professional wellbeing among high-achieving leaders.

By accessing this website, enrolling in Institute programs, participating in events, or using Institute materials, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use Institute services.

1. Educational and Informational Purpose

All materials, programs, publications, assessments, and educational resources provided by The Institute for Sustainable Authority™ are intended for educational, existing research-informed, and professional development purposes.

The Institute develops leadership frameworks and conceptual models that examine systemic patterns within modern performance culture. These models explore how environments that reward performative productivity, a leadership pattern in which output becomes fused with identity and exhaustion becomes interpreted as commitment may influence authority stability, leadership behavior, and professional sustainability.

The Harmonious Sustainable Authority® model incorporates a five-stage recalibration process:

These stages examine how leaders transition from performance-driven leadership patterns toward authority that is internally anchored and sustainable across professional and personal domains.

The Institute’s materials and programs are not medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, or financial services. Participation does not constitute therapy, counseling, or professional advice.

You acknowledge that participation is voluntary and that you remain solely responsible for your decisions, actions, and outcomes. If you require professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, you agree to seek licensed professionals.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in order to access Institute programs or services.

If you enroll in The Institute programs on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Programs, Events, and Services

The Institute for Sustainable Authority™ provides leadership education, executive development experiences, existing research-informed assessments, workshops, retreats, speaking engagements, corporate leadership programs, and related educational resources.

Institute offerings may include programs of cohort-based leadership experiences, corporate engagements, existing research-informed publications, assessments, and educational materials grounded in the Institute’s frameworks.

The Institute reserves the right to modify program structures, schedules, facilitators, delivery methods, or program components when necessary to maintain program integrity, quality, and participant experience.

Enrollment in one program or service does not grant access to additional Institute offerings unless explicitly stated.

4. Intellectual Property

All materials, frameworks, methodologies, language, tools, assessments, curriculum, recordings, reports, publications, and branding produced by The Institute for Sustainable Authority™ are the exclusive intellectual property of the Institute.

This includes, but is not limited to:

The Performance-to-Power Framework®
The Performative Productivity® concept
The Authority Erosion Index®
The Authority Erosion Heat Map®
The Authority Erosion Diagnostic Report®
All associated educational materials and program content

Participants are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access Institute materials for personal and professional development use only.

You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, modify, license, sell, teach, or create derivative works from Institute materials without prior written consent from the Institute for Sustainable Authority™.

Unauthorized use may constitute intellectual property infringement and may result in legal action.

5. Payment Terms

Program fees and payment terms are disclosed at the time of enrollment. By enrolling in Institute programs or services, you agree to pay the full program fee or the agreed-upon payment plan.

Payment plans represent binding financial commitments. Failure to complete installment payments does not release you from financial responsibility for the remaining balance.

The Institute reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to programs or materials if payment obligations are not fulfilled.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, all program fees are non-refundable due to the nature of intellectual property access and limited enrollment capacities.

6. Participant Responsibility

Participation in Institute programs requires active engagement and personal responsibility.

The Institute does not guarantee financial, business, professional, emotional, or relational outcomes resulting from participation.

Institute programming may involve examination of leadership identity, ambition, authority patterns, and systemic performance culture. These discussions often address how social and organizational systems reinforce performative productivity and over-functioning among high-achieving leaders.

The Institute’s work frames these patterns as structural dynamics rather than individual deficiencies.

Participants remain responsible for their own decisions, implementation, and actions.

Participants are expected to engage respectfully within all Institute environments. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior may result in removal from programs without refund.

7. Communications

By subscribing to communications from The Institute for Sustainable Authority™, you consent to receive email updates, educational resources, event announcements, and occasional promotional communications related to Institute programs.

You may unsubscribe from communications at any time using the unsubscribe link provided.

8. Confidentiality

The Institute encourages respectful treatment of personal information shared within program environments. However, the Institute cannot guarantee that other participants will maintain confidentiality.

Participants share personal information at their own discretion.

9. Assumption of Risk

Leadership development work may involve examination of identity patterns, leadership behaviors, and professional dynamics. This process may involve reflection that occasionally produces emotional discomfort.

By participating in Institute programs, you voluntarily assume any risks associated with this type of personal and professional development work.

10. Assessment and Methodology Disclaimer

The Institute for Sustainable Authority™ provides leadership assessments and diagnostic tools designed to support reflection and professional development.

These assessments include tools such as the Authority Erosion Index®, Authority Erosion Heat Map®, and related diagnostic reports.

Assessment results are intended for informational and quality improvement purposes only. They do not constitute medical, psychological, or clinical diagnoses and should not be interpreted as definitive measures of mental health or professional capability.

Assessment methodologies are proprietary intellectual property of the Institute for Sustainable Authority™ and may not be reproduced, distributed, or adapted without written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Institute for Sustainable Authority™, its affiliates, contractors, and representatives shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from participation in Institute programs or use of Institute materials.

Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific program or service involved.

12. Termination

The Institute reserves the right to terminate access to programs or services if a participant violates these Terms.

Termination does not eliminate any outstanding financial obligations.

Provisions relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution remain enforceable after termination.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Institute for Sustainable Authority™ from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your participation in Institute programs or your breach of these Terms.

14. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with the Institute’s Privacy Policy. By using Institute services, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in that policy.

15. Modifications

The Institute reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this website with a revised effective date.

Continued use of Institute services constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of [New Jersey], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any disputes arising under these Terms shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation and, if unresolved, through binding arbitration in [New Jersey], unless otherwise required by law.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and The Institute for Sustainable Authority™ regarding access to Institute programs, services, and materials and supersede all prior agreements relating to the subject matter herein.
